One of the problems with traditional school is that kids are not given enough time to really explore topics in depth. Years ago, I found that when we focused only on one subject per day, we were more productive and the kids enjoyed learning much more. This planner is perfect for the visual learner and has sections for various forms of learning, such as documentaries, books, games, etc. so you can explore a topic in multiple ways!
How to use the planner:
- The last page has a blank, allowing you to fill in your own subject.
- Print copies for each child, circle the day and fill in the other information.
- In the magnifying glass labeled "focus," put the specific topic of focus within the subject.
(For example, you may put something like "Shakespeare" or "writing" there for language arts. For math, it may be "multiplication.")
- Note that there is no "Bible" subject. Bible and biblical worldview conversations should be incorporated into every subject! (But you can, of course, write Bible in as a subject if you'd like to do a Bible study.)
